OGDEN, Utah – An aluminum B-17 airplane known as The Flying Fortress landed at the Ogden-Hinckley Airport on Thursday. During World War II, the B-17 was one of the most modern planes in the air.

A B-17, nicknamed Aluminum Overcast, is touring the country this summer as part of the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Experience History tour.

Some people got a chance to ride the Aluminum Overcast on Thursday.

“She was very smooth-moving, easy to fly,” said Natalie Bergevin. “I was very surprised actually at how easy it was to handle.”

The Aluminum Overcast will be in Ogden until June 2. For more information, visit www.b17.org.
