Flags to be lowered for Army specialist killed in Afghanistan

SALT LAKE CITY – Flags will be lowered this Saturday in honor of Army Specialist Cody J. Towse, who was killed in Afghanistan.

U.S. and Utah state flags will be flown at half-staff at all state facilities from sunrise to sunset on Saturday.

21-year-old Towse, who was from Elk Ridge, died on May 14 ater an IED attack in Afghanistan.

Funeral services will be held for Towse on Saturday at Salem Hills High School, where he graduated with the class of 2010.
