SALT LAKE CITY – Lexi Walker is only 11 years old, but she has been propelled into the spotlight this week after she performed the national anthem at a Real Salt Lake match last Saturday.

Lexi had the chance to sing at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square on Friday, and she was alongside some of Utah’s most talented musicians. The young singer wowed the crowd with her performance, and a YouTube video of her singing at the RSL game has gone viral.

Lexi also came to Fox 13’s Good Day Utah Saturday, where she sang part of the song “For Good”, which is about mothers.

Lexi said her family, including her grandmother, have been a huge influence in helping her learn to sing. She said she likes to sing for fun, but she’s also had the chance to travel with her singing group.
