One man is in custody after a house fire at 377 North, 800 West.
The fire broke out about 9:00 Wednesday morning. Crews quickly contained the fire at the two-story home.
The man was taken into custody for assault after a woman who lived in the home told police she was assaulted by her husband.
Fire crews say they cannot confirm whether the fire is connected with the domestic assault investigation, but arson investigators are questioning the man in custody. His clothes are also being tested for evidence.
Crews stopped the fire from spreading to the top unit, but it does have smoke damage.
