The Utah Department of Transportation has issued a travel warning for severe winds expected in Davis and Weber Counties Monday evening. They anticipate the hardest hit area to be in Centerville, Farmington and Kaysville, between midnight and 4am, where wind gusts could reach up to 90 mph.

Heavy snow is also expected along I-15 from Scipio to Cedar City through Cedar City through Tuesday.

UDOT also expects I-80 in the West Desert to see winds of 40-55 mph from 4pm through midnight.

The Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office has restricted both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons to vehicles with four wheel drive or chains only as of 9am.

Interstate 80 in Parley’s Canyon remains open to all vehicles, though road conditions are poor due to falling snow.
