SALT LAKE CITY — Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a dry cleaning business in Salt Lake City on Friday evening.

The suspect entered Heritage Dry Cleaners, located at 909 East and 2700 South, sometime around 5 p.m. on Friday. Christina works at the store, and she said the man said he was there to pick up some clothes left under his wife’s name, but when pressed for details he demanded money instead.

“I asked if there was a possibility if he came to the wrong dry cleaners, and he said ‘yeah that’s possible, but I’ll call her in a minute, but I need you to open your cash register and give me all your money right now,’” she said.

The suspect escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s. He has brown hair, and he was last seen wearing a blue dress shirt and blue jeans.
