Cash reward offered in Provo Canyon burglary investigation

OREM, Utah — The Utah County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance after a burglary in Provo Canyon.

The homeowners are offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for the burglary.

On December 17, 2012, a home in the Springdell neighborhood in Provo Canyon was burglarized at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Witnesses told police they saw two male suspects. The first suspect is described as an adult male. 20 to 25 years old, 5 foot 10 inches with a medium build, dark hair and a dark complexion. He was wearing a brown and black coat, jeans and boots.

The second suspect is described as a juvenile male, 8 to 12 years old, and short than average. He was wearing a light-colored jacket, white athletic shoes and a dark knit hat or hood.

Police said the suspects took expensive jewelry, a high-end Nikon camera. The property stolen is valued at more than $10,000.
