WEST JORDAN, Utah - A 36-year-old woman is recovering after being dropped off unconscious at a West Jordan hospital.

The victim was taken to Jordan Valley Medical Center Thursday just before 11 a.m. Doctors determined she overdosed but it’s unclear if she voluntarily took narcotics or if someone drugged her.

”What we determined was that she was in the West Valley area at an undetermined location and the next thing she remembers is waking up in a West Jordan hospital,” said West Jordan Police Lt. Rich Bell.

She passed out at a party and a 5-foot, 8-inch Latino man said he found her in a snowbank outside a gas station.

“The individual stated to hospital personnel that he had been doing some work at a nearby Maverik gas station and found her lying in the snow unresponsive. He was concerned for her safety so he took her to the hospital and dropped her off,” said Bell.

The man who dropped her off didn’t give hospital staff his information. Police are hoping the public can help find him.

”We’re trying to determine, do we a crime on our hands or do we have somebody who stepped up to the plate and did something good for this person," Bell said.

It’s a similar story to an attempted sexual assault January 2.

Surveillance video at a Maverik gas station in South Salt Lake shows an unconscious woman being removed from her car and eventually being placed into a suspect’s SUV. The victim, who passed out at a party, later turned up in the cold outside a West Valley church.

While there appear to be similarities, West Jordan police say they don’t have enough evidence to tie the two together.
