BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — The search for a missing Tremonton man was called off on Tuesday because authorities haven’t found any signs or evidence the man is in danger, but police are still asking for help.

The man, 63-year-old John Kilburn, has been missing since Sunday when he didn’t return from feeding cattle near the Malad River, according to a press release from the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office.

A search began Monday morning in Box Elder County. Kilburn’s truck was found parked at his work with the keys still inside, but there was no trace of the missing man. Search and rescue operations, assisted by Rocky Mountain Search Dogs, continued into Tuesday but the man’s whereabouts remain unknown.

Kilburn has been listed as a missing person with the National Crime Information Center. Anyone who sees Kilburn is asked to call either Detective Blanchard at 435-734-3803, or Box Elder Communications at 435-723-6890 and ask for a deputy.

Kilburn is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds. He has blue eyes, gray hair and he was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, jeans and boots. He has no teeth and doesn’t wear dentures.
