CASTLE DALE, Utah — The Emery County Sheriff’s Office has asked for the public’s help in locating a missing Castle Dale man.

Matthew Alan Larsen, 25, was last seen in the Castle Dale/Orangeville area on December 15.

Cellphone records indicate he may have been west of Orangeville, but Detective John Barnett said those records are not always reliable.

Search and rescue crews and search dogs tried to locate Larsen west of Orangeville, but were unsuccessful.

Larsen worked in security and was contemplating a job in Arizona, but he didn’t go there.

The Emery County Sheriff’s Office is especially concerned since Larsen disappeared before a series of snow storms hit Utah.

Larsen was described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and 180 pounds. He was brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information on Larsen’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Emery County Sheriff’s Office at (435) 381-2404 or Detective John Barnett at (435) 609-9883.
