WEST HAVEN, Utah - Fire crews battled a 2-alarm fire in West Haven Friday night.

Dispatchers said the fire started after 9 p.m. at a home located at 3697 West and 4150 South in West Haven.

The fire destroyed the home, a 24-foot RV trailer and two cars.

Officials say the fire started in the garage of the home, which may be why it spread so quickly.

"En route we were told there were possibly four explosions," said Captain John Meek of the Weber Fire District. "Upon our arrival we found the house fully involved, no one was in the house at the time."

The family was not at home at the time of the fire and all four pets have been accounted for.

The family has lost most if not all of their Christmas presents. An account has been set up for the family at America First Credit Union under the Cowley Family Charitable Account.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
