SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Supreme Court says Salt Lake City can move forward in building a regional athletic complex near the Jordan River.

Jordan River advocates claimed rezoning for the complex along the Jordan River violated state, county and local laws, but the court says the process was carried out in an appropriate and legal fashion.

The $15.3 million voter-approved bond will fund a 142-acre public facility. Under current plans, it will host 16 multipurpose fields, including a stadium with bleachers, artificial turf, a scoreboard and concession area.
