The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man accused of shooting at an Idaho State Police trooper and kidnapping a woman.

Mitchell Lee Walck is wanted for shooting at an Idaho State Police trooper during an attempted traffic stop on December 1, according to a news release from the FBI.

Later that day, Walck allegedly kidnapped a woman from her Rathdrum, Idaho residence and released her unharmed more than 700 miles away in Glendive, Montana.

Walck is described as a 57-year-old white male, 5’10”, 175 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. However, Walck recently changed his appearance and was last seen with dyed black hair and a dyed black mustache.  He may be driving a 2005 silver Subaru Forester with Idaho plate K230050.  He has been known to stop at campgrounds and churches for shelter.

Walck is considered armed and dangerous and the public is advised not to contact him and instead call the FBI Salt Lake City Division at (801) 579-1400, email tips to saltlakecity@ic.fbi.gov, or contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
