SALT LAKE CITY - Third and fourth grade students from Salt Lake City's Woodrow Wilson Elementary joined Governor Gary Herbert and First Lady Jeanette Herbert in decorating the Governor's Mansion for Christmas.

The First Lady selects a theme for the Governor's Mansion every holiday sason and community organizations help decorate it.

"They have done this beautiful tree for us with all Utah decorations. They've got copper, they've got snowflakes of Utah, a white owl. They've done an incredible job and that makes it really fun because they get so excited to come and decorate this tree, so that's one of our funnest things to do," Jeanette Herbert said.

Each room in the Governor's Mansion is decorated by a different group.

"Each room is decorated by different decorators, they pick a tree and a room and decorate for us," Jeanette Herbert said.

Governor and Mrs. Herbert open the doors to the Governor's Mansion and welcome guests to enjoy the historic home and decorations for the holidays.

Free tours of the mansion, located at 603 East South Temple in Salt Lake City, are on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m. through Dec. 20.
