SALT LAKE CITY -- President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney meet for a private lunch at noon EST Thursday.

"If only I could be a fly on the wall."

That's what Kirk Jowers is thinking as he contemplates a lunch between the man he supported for years, and the man who lives in the White House.

The White House kept the meeting a mystery until the press secretary released this brief press statement Wednesday:

"On Thursday, Governor Romney will have a private lunch at the White House with President Obama in the Private Dining Room. It will be the first opportunity they have had to visit since the election. There will be no press coverage of the meeting."

Kirk Jowers ran Mitt Romney's official Political Action Committee, and he thinks Romney still wants to be involved in public service.

"I think ultimately he'll be very drawn to do something for his country and whether that has anything to do with President Obama, I don't know. That will probably be more up to Obama than to Romney," Jowers said.

Jowers added he thinks it's unlikely President Obama will offer Mitt Romney a job and, if a job is offered, he thinks Romney would turn it down, because the two have serious policy disagreements.

"The fiscal cliff, the deficit, the taxes, the jobs, those are all in Romney's wheelhouse and the extent to which Obama could channel that in some way for some bipartisan issue. It would be huge," Jowers said.
