MURRAY, Utah – Central Valley Dialysis opened a new facility in Murray on Monday, providing a state of the art center for people needing kidney dialysis in the Salt Lake Valley.

The new center and its 25-person staff will treat nearly 150 dialysis patients a year. It’s part of a comprehensive program that includes in-patient dialysis care and three addition outpatient clinics in downtown Salt Lake City, Tooele and Richfield.

“The machines are very safe for our patients. They are the state of the art, and all of the solutions that go through there are delivered directly to the machine from our central reverse osmosis water treatment room,” said Larry Carlson, dialysis department manager.

Carlson says the program allows for modifications in the future as technology improves.

Patients at the new clinic say it provides several benefits, including a more comfortable environment.

“It’s state of the art. It’s got new chairs, new everything, new machines. In fact I had to look at my machine to make sure it was still working because it was so quiet,” said dialysis patient Heidi Naylor.

The center will be open six days a week. It’s located on the Intermountain Medical Center campus at 74 West Vine Street. The phone number is 801-507-9000. For more, visit intermountainhealthcare.org.
