Utahns will spend the coming days cleaning up damage from the weekend winter storms.

Downed branches littered streets on Salt Lake's East Bench neighborhoods.

Fallen trees left thousands of people without power, and damaged businesses and homes across the Wasatch Front.

Rocky Mountain Power reported a new power outage in Magna Monday morning that is affecting approximately 2,186 customers. They said the outage was caused by snow and it should be restored at 4 p.m. Monday.

Rocky Mountains Power had crews out during the storm, and into Monday morning, repairing lines and clearing limbs.

They said the list of outages would have been much longer if they didn't trim trees year round.

Some of the worst damage is in the East Benches, where heavier snowfall combined with larger, older trees, resulted in a lot of downed limbs.

Rocky Mountain Power said their crews are specially trained to handle these kinds of situations and they don't want homeowners going near any downed lines.

"Another thing people can do when you own a tree, is call a professional arborist and prune it because if there's any defective wood, any weak or diseased wood they can take that out before the snow comes and it might just prevent an outage," said Randy Miller, Rocky Mountain Power.

According to Rocky Mountain Power, smaller outages may still exist, affecting 103 customers.

If you see any downed lines, you are asked to call Rocky Mountain Power at 1-877-508-5088 and stay away from the lines.

More information on power outages can also be found on the Rocky Mountain Power website.
