The One Million Bones project is creating nationwide exhibits to bring awareness to those affected by genocide, including people displaced or killed in Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia and Burma.

The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) collaborated in their own display of bones on Saturday where adults and children participated.

The Bones project is intended to create a visible movement to increase global awareness of these crises while raising funds to help protect those most vulnerable in affected areas.

The project is held the second Saturday of each month from 2 p.m. to 4 pm at UMOCA.
