Some roads turned slick and fog through Parleys Canyon reduced visibility. UDOT officials were on Friday afternoon reminding drivers to be careful.

"We are always trying to remind people to give themselves plenty of time to get to their destination and also to stay behind our plows at least 200 yards," Adan Carrillo, UDOT. "Just have patience, you will get there safely as long as you slow down."

One inch on snow is possible on the valley floor and one to four inches of snow on the benches, according to weatherman Damon Yauney.

Utah Highway Patrol reported 22 vehicle accidents that occurred in Salt Lake County, Utah County and Davis County between 6 a.m. and noon. Four of the accidents resulted in injuries, all of which were non-life threatening.

"A lot of them were just fender benders. And along those lines, we want to remind people, if you are involved in a fender bender crash, please drive off to the next exit and then call 911," said Cpl. Todd Johnson.

The Utah Department of Transportation issued a message on Twitter regardingrestrictions in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons beginning at approximately 8:30 a.m. Vehicles must have 4-wheel drive or chains until further notice.

Rocky Mountain Power reported power outages for areas of Tooele, Cedar City and southern Utah County during parts of Friday, but those outages have been restored.

St. George will likely see rain later Friday and temperatures in the mid 60s.
