Iron County Commissioner dies during fishing trip

CEDAR CITY, Utah — Iron County Commissioner Daniel Webster died during a fishing trip at Panguitch Lake Thursday, according to Iron County Clerk David Yardley.

Yardley said he received a call from Commissioner Alma Adams informing him of Webster’s death shortly after noon.

A cause of death has not yet been released by authorities.

Webster was a well-liked public figure in Cedar City. He and his wife Brenda Webster owned the Dairy Queen franchise there.

Webster lived in Iron County for more than six decades.
