UDOT spokesman on construction updates and avoiding traffic

The following information is a press release from UDOT.

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has scheduled ramp closures and lane restrictions in Orem, West Valley, Midvale, Salt Lake City and Murray. The following is a brief description of this weekend's most significant roadwork statewide, weather permitting:

I-15 CORE, Orem
In Orem, northbound I-15 is scheduled to be reduced to two lanes between the University Parkway interchange and 400 South from Saturday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5:30 a.m. Construction crews will be paving new concrete in the area.

SR-201 and I-215 ramp, West Valley
The ramp from westbound SR-201 to northbound I-215 is scheduled to close from Friday night to Monday morning for concrete repairs. Drivers should use Redwood Road or Bangerter Highway as alternate routes.

Union Park I-215 ramps, Midvale
On- and off-ramps in both directions at I-215 and Union Park Avenue in Midvale are scheduled to close Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to midnight each day as crews make concrete repairs, remove asphalt and repave. Drivers should us 2000 East, 280 East or State Street as alternate routes.

California Avenue, Salt Lake City
The southbound on-and off-ramps on I-215 at California Avenue in Salt Lake are scheduled to close from Friday night to early Monday morning for concrete repairs.

700 East, Murray
700 East in Murray is scheduled to be reduced to two lanes in each direction beginning Monday, April 30. Construction crews will be removing asphalt and repaving in the area.
