SALT LAKE CITY — The second in command at the Carbon County Sheriff’s Department pleaded guilty in abeyance Monday for charges stemming from three cars being keyed at a South Salt Lake dealership.

Cpt. Guy Adams was put on administrative leave following allegations that he keyed three cars belonging to an Idaho fire department, the Syracuse Police Department and the U.S. Forest Service.

The guilty plea means he will pay restitution to Dave Smith Motors and Syracuse Police.
