SALT LAKE CITY — It was a interesting evening at EnergySolutions Arena as Jimmer Mania is still alive and well. The Jazz are looking for wins to keep in the playoff race.

The kings got off to good start led by Demarcus Cousins. He follows his miss at the hoop and gets rejected by Paul Millsap, but he gets it back and throws it down. Cousins scored 11 during the kings 15-6 run to start the game.

Gordon Hayward helped bring the Jazz back. He has been playing well for Utah.

Jimmer Fredette entered the game late in the first quarter. He knocked down the first shot he took, but he was just one for four in the first half,  playing just 7 minutes before the half.

But the Kings stuck around and at one time tied the score at 69.

Things got a little physical when Hayward takes it up strong with his left hitting Cousins in the head in what appeared unintentional during the replay. But that doesn’t mean Cousins was happy about it. He shows off his bloody face to the referee.and he gets called for a technical after a few choice words.

Jimmer got back into the game and knocked down a jumper to put the kings up two in the 4th quarter.

The Jazz were down one in the final seconds then with an inbounds to Howard — his shot is no good —  it gets tipped around and finally goes in, but was it before time ran out.

Officials had to check out the replay – still no good.

The Kings beat the Jazz 104-103.

The Jazz are now 27 and 25. They play Saturday against the Clippers in L.A.
