The Best Friends Animal Society spay and neuter clinic in Orem is re-opening on Saturday.

The clinic is giving away 100 free spay and neuter surgeries to prevent unwanted litters.

Every spring, shelters take in as many as 30 to 40 mother cats and kittens a day.

"The Best Friends Animal Society spay and neuter clinic is offering ten dollar cat spays and neuters through April thirtieth," said Temma Martin, with the Best Friends Animal Society.  "So were trying to do our part to reduce the number of unwanted babies that end up in shelters."

You can find the Best Friends Animal Society spay and neuter clinic at 845 North and 100 West in Orem.

Free vouchers for spay and neuter surgeries will be available at the open house on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
